Our folks at The Guardian reports that guitar legend Dick Dale has passed away on march 16th at the age of 81.
The source adds that the news was confirmed by Dale’s live bassist, Sam Bolle.
Dick is perhaps best known for his 1962 hit single “Misirlou,” which was later used as one of the musical themes in 1994’s “Pulp Fiction.”
Rest in peace, sir.
