Famous journalist Eddie Trunk revealed interesting information about the possible upcoming AC/DC Tour & studio album.
Here’s the entire statement:
“I think AC/DC has lost a little bit in terms of their recordings. A little bit of that punchy-in-the-jaw heaviness, attitude, and power. Quite frankly, that probably comes with the fact that AC/DC are much older now and I understand that.
So, I think they have evolved and changed a little bit. AC/DC is now sort of a swaggery, bluesy, sort of rock and roll band. Which is totally fine at this point in their career, and that’s what I meant and Matthew thank you for quoting me correctly when I said on the show: “At this point in their career.”
It’s not 1980 anymore, it’s not 1979, I understand that there are going to be limitations and I understand it’s going to be different in terms of the approach. Most people get a little more mellow with age.”
On Brian Johnson’s possible return to the band:
“Well Bob, as he writes, he goes by Bob Groogle, Bob, short and to the point – Bob, I can’t give you an answer for sure but every indicator that I get is that AC/DC will indeed do something very soon, has made a record and will tour.
Maybe select dates, maybe a handful of stadium dates, we’ll see but I keep hearing things are happening. “
Recently legendary rock band AC/DC posted on social media for the first time in almost 2 years. They have strongly hinted at new activity from the band. AC/DC posted a short 8-second video on Facebook celebrating the 40th anniversary of their highly successful album ‘Highway To Hell’. Whether it’s 40th-anniversary tour celebrating ‘Highway To Hell’ or a new album. Only time will tell. We may also have a new album coming soon. Only time will tell! AC/DC was in the midst of making — or at least planning — another album, with Rudd and Johnson both back in the lineup. Online reports have also indicated Angus Young will dedicate the new AC/DC album to his late brother.

I don’t think AC/DC has lost anything. As a matter of fact I was lucky and got to see Rock or Bust. Awesome as I ever thought seeing them live. You’d have to get up pretty early to even get a step ahead of Angus or any other original members. I wouldn’t dare think They lost anything much less claim that in the media. Best damn band in the land. Funny how other musical artist and media cronies are trying their damndest to ride their shirt tails for self imposed fame
Do it yourselves like AC/DC did. You’ll find out it’s A Long Way to the Top. Longer than you’ll ever know as an armchair media mouth. Reporting in a kindergarten fashion.
Couldn’t say it better myself. All can be said for AC/DC is one word. LEGENDS!
Thank you. And seeing them live sold out Gillette Stadium Rock or Bust tour. Two straight hours of Rolling Thunder..!!!
Age spread of audience 8to80!!!
I mean, they lost Malcolm…
Physically yes. In spirit still there, his recordings will be utilized. Malcolm was a genius on bass as well as other areas of the music industry. Some where within that band there is a straight up business mind who’s wheels are running full send continuously. Coined phrase in this part of the USA known as The band from down under that raise all the thunder!!! Long live the Legends. The Power Of AC/DC “RULES” Rock and Roll…..Forever.
