Indian progressive metal band Midhaven will be releasing their debut EP “Tales From The Tide” in May this year. Their album launch gig will be at Blue Frog, Mumbai on the 5th of May, which is the “Prog At The Frog Metal Night”.
Formed in 2011, Midhaven play an eclectic combination of sludge and progressive metal among other things, and cover subject matter like pirate lore and darker subjects like suicide. Founder and frontman Karan ‘Seven’ Kaul had this to say about the band, “Midhaven is a project that I started under the name of Temple Smoke, while I was still in college. Abhishek and Shreyas were there right from the beginning. Aviraj joined in after we had begun writing this present album. Many, Many different artists inspired us to write this, main ones being Mastodon and Neurosis.” The EP has been mixed and mastered by Jason D’Souza and produced by Jordan Veigas at Joshua Inc. Studios. The artwork is by Aakash Dwivedi.
Midhaven is Karan ‘Seven’ Kaul on guitar and vocals, Shreyas Rane on guitar, Abhishek Sawant on bass and vocals, and Aviraj Kumar on drums.
