Richmond, Virginia metal haulers Lamb Of God have released a brand new trailer for their documentary “As The Palaces Burn“. According to EmpireOnline.com, the intention for the documentary, directed by award-winning documentary filmmaker Don Argott and produced by 9.14 Pictures (“Last Days Here”, “Art Of The Steal”, “Rock School”), was to turn his cameras away from Lamb Of God and towards the band’s international, multicultural fanbase. However, following Lamb Of God singer Randy Blythe‘s arrest in Prague, Czech Republic in June 2012 lead to secondary and very crucial changes to the project and the documentary also captured the entire drama surrounding the arrest.
“As The Palaces Burn” film will premiere at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam between November 20th and December 1st 2013. Theatrical releases will follow in early 2014.
Lamb Of God bassist John Campbell recently spoke about the most life-changing aspect of everything that’s happened over the last year. “It definitely makes you wonder where exactly you’re headed, what options you have in front of you,” he said. “I would say just the not knowing whether or not we were going to continue on with the band was an interesting situation to deal with.“
He also added – “The incident in Prague was a situation where things were not done the way they were supposed to and a tragedy occurred. There’s a reason why things are supposed to happen a certain way and people are supposed to make sure they happen that way this point forward. Randy takes the stage to make sure everybody’s there to have a good time and to watch out for everybody, I don’t think it’s changed anything at all.“
