Metal Wani’s Editor In Chief Owais ‘Vitek’ Nabi had a chat with Witherscape mastermind Dan Swano. He discusses upcoming new album “The Northern Sanctuary”, musical direction, blending the best of band’s 70’s/80’s Prog/hardrock and even AOR roots & inspiration behind the record. Dan also talks about the songwriting approach with partner Ragnar, transitions in songs from Death to prog metal, his versatile vocals and drumming. Dan throws light on upcoming project which is still a secret, his love for Opeth‘s “Ghost Reveries” and how the change in Opeth’s musical direction resulted in a backlash and much more.
