Ahead of their very first trip to Australian shores, frontman Chris Taylor Brown spoke to Metal Wani’s Jake Patton about the upcoming shows and the perceived alternative rock revival in Australia over the past few years.
They also talk about the band’s latest album DNA and the benefits of having the album partially crowdfunded, before discussing the benefits of crowdfunding more broadly. They also diverge into a conversation on creative process for Trapt and how the band continues to artistically progress so far into their career.
They also discuss the early 2000’s explosion that saw the band’s music across video games, movies and other forms of entertainment and how that impacted the bands formative years, and how the band’s music seems to have a lasting power that other artists aren’t afforded with certain songs still receiving regular airplay, before closing off by discussing the difficulties of sharing a name with another well recognised artist.
