Judas Priest are currently touring America and most of the dates are sold out. Frontman Rob Halford recently revealed how the band didn’t make a dime from one of their most successful tours to date. He said:
“[1986’s] ‘Turbo‘ tour was one of our most successful tours ever and we didn’t make a penny because we had this gigantic stage set and we had an enormous amount of trucking and bussing in everything.
“And there was some trickery going on in the accounting side of things – we were selling out every night pretty much in the States and then we came to look at the money and there was nothing left.
“‘Are you f*c*ing kidding me?! We just sold out an American tour!’ The was nothing left. ‘Show us the figures!’ It was just, ‘Expenditure, Income, Expenditure, Income, Expenditure… zero, zero, zero, zero…'”
