Alt Press reports that “people are confused” after a rap group called Migos won the Favorite Duo or Group Award in the pop/rock category at this year’s American Music Awards (AMAs).

“We did not know we was winning this at all,” the band said during the acceptance speech.
Rock journalist and host Eddie Trunk wrote:

Really my biggest fucking issue with the @AMAs is the fact that they didn’t do their research to add enough rock bands in the mix for it to have its own category. Migos winning a Pop/Rock award ?!!!!!!!???!!! Why are pop/rock together??????
