The boy was invited onstage by frontman Dave Grohl at the beginning of the encore segment of the evening. Dave asked Collier if he knew how to play guitar, to which the kid responded by saying he knows “a lot of Metallica songs.”
Grohl asked him if he wanted to jam a Metallica track, to which Collier responded with “Sure” and proceeded to jam “Enter Sandman,” with the band quickly joining in.
After that, the frontman asked the boy if he knew more stuff. The boy then launched into “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” and bits of “Wherever I May Roam,” at which point Grohl admitted Collier knew more Metallica stuff than the Foos did.
