Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee had a recent interview with New York Times author Anthony Bozza, and revealed his real opinion about Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti album.
Here is what Tommy Lee said about Physical Graffiti:
“Music is so hard to explain sometimes, or the feeling that you get when you hear something is really difficult. But I think that… I’m doing my best to explain it. It’s like when something comes over your body and makes you just feel like, ‘Woah! What is happening?’
And it just engulfs your entire being, and you don’t even know what’s happening to you. It’s almost like a musical r*pe. Do you know what I’m saying?
I don’t even know what is happening,’ but it sucked me in and I was done. I was, like, “That guy is a f*c*ing bada*s, and the band is amazing.’ But the drumming, to me, was so spectacular.”
God, the feel was so cool. Such a big, heavy foot and the big grooves and all that stuff. Dude, it freaked me out, and it inspired me to be as good or better.”
