Earlier this week, Ozzy Osbourne released a new single called ‘Under The Graveyard, the first one in 12 years.
Ozzy said:
“This is quite possibly the most important album I have done in a very long time, probably since NO MORE TEARS.”
‘Under The Graveyard’, his first new solo music in almost 10 years. A massive ballad that builds into a searing rocker, it’s the first single from OZZY’s forthcoming album, ORDINARY MAN, due out on Epic Records through Sony Music Entertainment Australia in early 2020.
“This album was a gift from my higher power–it is proof to me that you should never give up,” OZZY says.
Fans have reacted to the song. While some are disappointed, few showed a positive response.
Below is the compilation of all reactions from Ozzy fans:
Brian Shaw: Your voice sounds good ozzman. But guitars not good. Why didn’t you get zakk to play on new songs? I like the rhythm of the new tune. New and creative.
Mattley_Crue: Bring Zack back.
Goksel: Needs a better guitar solo.
Fred Rogers: At this point, the auto-tune is so strong that you can barely make out what the poor guy is saying. Granted, he’s been using it forever but it’s time to give it up. At least it’s not another greatest hits compilation.
JavaTheMocha: “Not digging the production or arrangements on this one. Guitars are pretty scaled back for an Ozzy tune and it has a lot of that ‘floor tom + whoa-oh-oh-oh’ millennial pop crap in the hook. Man, that guitar tone is totally fried. Really weird production choices.”
Another user said: “I actually like this song, it’s really better than “Scream” stuff. So quite happy about it. But the solo is very terrible and it’s official!”
Another one added: “Here’s the thing….times change, music changes, how music is made changes. All these legends are still doing what they love. They should keep doing what they love long as they can. Yeah, it can be argued artists put out sell out music or not the caliber they use to. So what. There is so much music out there you don’t have to listen to what you don’t like. Keep listening to the old stuff if that works for you. When you’ve reached the caliber some household talent names have reached, let me know so I can listen to your music. I hope Oz keeps rocking til he draws his last breath. His legacy is far stronger than any flop album he happens to put out…people forget and listen to, buy, and go to shows to hear what they like. And there is soooo much Ozzy music available, quit your b*tchin’.”
User added: “What a great song and what an utterly garbage guitar solo. Why is Glen Hughes-reject Andrew Watt playing guitar on this, rather than Zakk or Gus G? Ozzy has a long tradition of phenomenal guitar players on his records, seems a weird time to go for mediocre.”
Ozzy Osbourne’s health issues have kept the rocker away from live shows for more than a year. Ozzy postponed all his 2019 tour dates, both in North America and Europe. Postponing tours were meant for Ozzy to recover from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia. Ozzy fell at his Los Angeles home, aggravating years-old injuries from his 2003 ATV accident that required new surgery.
Legendary JUDAS PRIEST have confirmed that they will take a part in a previously postponed European tour with Ozzy Osbourne, which will be rescheduled for 2020. Legendary BLACK SABBATH singer has announced the postponement of all his 2019 tour dates, inclusive of shows in North America and Europe, as he recovers from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia. Ozzy has been delaying all the tours due to the prolonged sickness and we are expected to see him back in action sometime next year. Ozzy is also going to release an album next year which will be the first album in over a decade.
