There have been lots of rumors online stating Iron Maiden and Judas Priest will be touring soon.
This was addressed by Rob Halford in a new interview with Consequence Of Sound.
He said:
“I think both bands would look to do that”
“It’s all about the timing of doing such a thing. We’re good friends.”
He added:
“When we talk about rivalry, healthy rivalry, it’s like the Arizona Cardinals and the Raiders or the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors. It’s that kind of rivalry, a good rivalry. It’s a fun rivalry. But I think both bands have admired each other throughout the metal years, and it would be a spectacular event — PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN together.
Rob further talked about his dream of BIG 4 UK tour, saying:
“My dream had always been to have like the ‘Big Four’ of the U.K., without turning this into a kind of depressing way.”
“I’d always dreamed of BLACK SABBATH and MOTÖRHEAD and PRIEST and MAIDEN as the ‘Big Four’ doing something in the U.K. Sadly, two-fourths of that has gone but the music lives forever. That’s the main thing.”
Legendary Iron Maiden have been on tour for more than 2 years now after the release of their last studio album. Iron Maiden celebrated the success of the album with a world tour with a phenomenal production. On the other side, Judas Priest released a successful record titled ‘Firepower’ which cracked billboards and other charts worldwide. Judas Priest have been on tour for more than a year since the release of the record. Priest main songwriter Glenn Tipton hasn’t joined the band live for more than a few dates since last year. It’s interesting to hear that there’s a possibility of an epic tour featuring Iron Maiden and Judas Priest along with thrash legends Testament.
