Interesting news from Megadeth camp.
Dave Mustaine has confirmed David Ellefson will sing on an upcoming album.
He said:
“I said to David Ellefson, ‘What was the biggest song that KISS ever had?’
He goes, ‘Beth.’ I said, ‘Yeah, we should write a song like “Beth,” where it’s a ballad and it’s just you singing it.”
He also added that the song should be about bad blood between the two when Ellefson sued Mustaine in 2004.
Dave told Ellefson:
“‘I think you should write a song about what it’s like being in MEGADETH with me, because I read all your lyrics, and I know that your lyrics are aimed at me.”
“‘You’re upset. So why don’t you write about it?’”
Mustaine also revealed that the band will release at least two songs prior to embarking on a European tour with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH in January.
“All we need to do is get in the studio and capture them.”
“We’ve got scratch drum tracks. We just have to get Dirk [Verbeuren, drums] to play through the songs once or twice and then it’s up to me and David [Ellefson, bass] and Kiko [Loureiro, lead guitar] to finish.”
Few weeks ago legendary axeman Dave Mustaine has shared a piece of good news saying all of his Cancer test results have shown amazing progress.
He revealed this in a new interview with Rolling Stone.
Dave talked about the recovery, saying:
“I’m on the other side of the majority of the treatment, and I feel really strong.”
“After the radiation, the guy said all of my test results looked amazing. ‘You look like you’re in stage 1 and you’re supposed to be in stage 3 right now.’ And then the oncologist said the same thing: ‘You look really strong.’ So we kept moving through the process.”
