Ozzy Osbourne made his first public appearance since announcing his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis at last night’s Grammy Awards.
As per the legends at Metal Sucks, Ozzy Osbourne was struggling onstage.
Vince Neilstein said:
“Ozzy had difficulty walking six feet across the stage, propped up mighty and heroically by Sharon, whose hand he gripped for dear life.”
He added:
“Ozzy isn’t well. I’m calling it now. The summer tour isn’t going to happen”
Speaking to CBS‘s “Grammy Red Carpet Live” pre-show with his daughter Kelly by his side, the BLACK SABBATH singer admitted that the past year has been a difficult one since he was diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disorder last February.
“This last year has been hell for me,” he said.
“I’ve had surgery on my neck. I’ve announced to the world that I’ve got Parkinson’s. It’s been one rock ‘n’ roll year for me.”
The 71-year-old rocker, who walked with a cane, added that he hopes to resume touring soon.
“If I’m well enough, I’ll work towards it,” he said.
“I’m having physical therapy every day, five days a week. I’m trying, doing the best I can. Neck surgery’s not easy.”
Kelly said that she is proud of her father’s progress.
“Seeing how far Dad’s come this year and how far he’s come in the last week alone has just been incredible,” she said.
“I think coming out and telling his truth has been a weight lifted off of his shoulders. And even like his physical therapist is saying how far you have moved forward in this last week is insane.”

Ozzy is the best regardless if he ever tours again… His health should take precedence over touring… But I guess that’s all he really knows is make music and tour… I think the fans do bring him some happiness and relief with his struggles and it’s good to hear he’s not just gonna roll over and give up… There is treatment out there for Parkinson’s, Muhammed Ali had many good years with treatment and Michael J. Fox is getting treatment and still around so I don’t think this is the end for Ozzy… I’m sure it’s disappointing and depressing and there is gonna be many struggles ahead but Ozzy is a survivor he’s a fighter…. God Bless Ozzy Osbourne…
