Paul called Little Richard as ‘the cornerstone of Rock & Roll’ and shared how did they welcome him at the backstage. Lots of fans sent emotional tweets and shared their condolences to Little Richard and his family.
Here is what Paul wrote:
“Little Richard is a cornerstone in the very foundation of Rock & Roll. An icon. A songwriter and performer with a personality to match. RIP superstar.“
A Paul Stanley follower named Kevin Van Steendelaar wrote this:
“We all know the song is, “God Gave Rock’n’Roll To You.” But he gave the instruction manual to Little Richard.”
Another Twitter user Andy Repner commented:
“Little Richard & Jerry Lee Lewis were the punks of their era. Bet if I’d been a teenager at the time, I’d have had my mind blown by Tutti Frutti.
And respect is due to having to overcome all existing prejudices against black, gay men. RIP to a legend and true original.”
