As reported earlier, Don Dokken’s lethargic gig at Virginia’s Dr. Pepper Park has not gone well with Dokken fans.
After seeing the footage of the gig, Dokken fans have expressed their frustration on social media.
Here are some of the comments:
“Hang it up Don.. Stop embarrassing yourself.. You move like a 100-year-old man. Keep whatever pride you may have left and retire..”
“Yea Don we all love what you have accomplished over the years you are a legend..let’s leave it where it was..don’t do this to yourself..if you can’t give it 100%, don’t do it, brother.”
“Don and Vince Neil should get together and join a local gym. These guys just don’t know when they need to put down the beer, joint, or whatever and invest in a good green drink to keep the gravy train rolling. Look at Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, the stones, they figured it out that the older you get, you have to actually put in the effort to keep performing.”
“Looks like Donald Trump impersonating Don Dokken”
The show reportedly took steps to keep the crowd socially distanced.
It’s noted that frontman Don Dokken was lethargic while singing a fan favorite song ‘It’s Not Love’.
It could be due to Don Dokken’s ongoing physical issues with his right arm or it could just be that one unexpected moment.
There have been several videos that have surfaced over the years of Dokken in the same type of lethargic, inebriated state.
EDITOR’s NOTE: I love Don Dokken & I have massive respect for his work. With his current health issues, I hope he gets better soon so that his live performances are much better than these.

The saddest part about this whole situation is that Don Dokken probably doesn’t know how to do anything else. How is he going to make a living besides doing this? Why can’t they run some of his old tracks or sample some of his old tracks live to help him out? If he has health issues and many use backing tracks anyway, why not?
Unfair and ridiculous. This guy is out there for the fans. Don’t like his abilities now? Don’t go see them. As a huge fan is rather see an aging Don one more time.
I’m sure the people posting these things are in as good a shape as they were 30-40 years ago…..
Point WELL made!..you are a true Dokken fan ..?
If Donald Trump was impersonating Don Dokken, Dokken would be winning with a sold out show. If Biden were impersonating Dokken, the stage would have to be in his basement and after he takes his nap.
