West Coast rock veterans LYNCH MOB will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal album “Wicked Sensation” with a special limited print/deluxe anniversary edition of the album.
“Wicked Sensation Reimagined” features re-worked and re-recorded versions of their classic songs and will be available via Rat Pak Records on August 28 (also available in Japan via Marquee/Avalon).
The “reimagined” version of the song “Hell Child”, taken from “Wicked Sensation Reimagined”, can now be streamed.
This version lead to a backlash from longtime Lynch Mob fans.
Some of them even called it ‘garbage.’
Here are some of the comments:
“I heard the “reimagined” Wicked Sensation. Total garbage. Supposedly, Oni has already left the band (again).”
“Almost as if they didn’t have the rights to the songs, and they changed them just enough that they could legally record them.”
“I came in thinking, why is everyone is being so harsh, now I know, these suck, the originals are perfect the way they are”
“Oh wow just listened to Wicked Sensation, turned it off halfway through. Hot Garbage. George should go back to playing with Doug Pinnick and the drummer from Korn.”
“Oni Logan, back in the day of this release, was a bad motherf*cker…pipes from, who knows. Otherworldly talent in a vocalist!! The whole band was beyond un f*cking real! This doesn’t work for me.in the slightest. Lynch still and always will be an extraordinary player and writer, that’s a given but this is sub-par in my opinion
“Sounds horrible, no thanks I’ll stick to the original”
