On Instagram, the rock and roll photographer Ross Halfin posted some photos of Ozzy Osbourne in concert on the ‘Fourth of July’ in 1981 showing fans with a sign saying, ‘Ozzy is God.’
One of the legendary vocalists of all time Ozzy Osbourne performed in ‘Day on the Green‘ concert in Oakland, California on July 4th, 1981. Ozzy took the stage with his new band and guitarist Randy Rhoads, after leaving Black Sabbath.
The famous rock and roll photographer Ross Halfin posted photos of Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Roads on Day on the Green stage on Instagram and shared a memory from 39 years ago.
One of the photos Ross posted was showing some fans holding a sign ‘Ozzy is God‘ written on it. The 39-year-old photo seemed to be supporting the notion of Ozzy’s being the real God of heavy metal music.
Here’s what Ross Halfin stated on the caption of his Instagram post:
“Happy 4th of July to all Americans. On this day 39 years ago I was in Oakland aboard the Crazy Train, bright and early for a 10:30 am set with Ozzy.
I was actually late as they had already started when I arrived, the photo of Randy laughing was when he turned around and saw me on stage.“
