Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider replied to one fan on his Twitter page, sharing his opinion on tribute bands.
The singer replied if he prefers the classic rock bands that claim they are original even though they consist of mostly new members.
Snider’s first Tweet is the following:
“Times haven’t changed much. Tribute bands continue to be a moneymaker for young musicians but do nothing for their personal creativity. And some of these tribute bands act like THEY are the actual band they are paying tribute to!”
A fan replied to his tweet:
“I’d rather see tribute bands than see the real bands that have no original members selling themselves as the real thing. And charging crazy ticket prices. I’ve never understood that.”
Snider replied:
“That’s a different story. I’m not a fan of people presenting themselves as the original band when there is virtually no one original there. That’s why Twisted retired. All of nothing.”
