After a long time, existing VAN HALEN members have come out and talked about Eddie Van Halen’s death.
David Lee Roth made an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night (September 12) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In an interview with US Weekly, Roth was asked about Eddie.
Here’s what he said:
“My guitar player passed away, Eddie Van Halen. He’s either in heaven raisin’ hell. Or he’s in hell, consequently in heaven. Read into that as you wish. And he would have me say it just like that. And I carry on that spirit deliberately.”
David further confirmed that Van Halen will celebrate the 50th anniversary..
David seems to be in touch with Alex Van Halen.
Here’s what he said:
“And you know what? I just spoke to Alex Van Halen. We’re about to celebrate our 50th year or ragging on each other. [Laughs]”

DLR sucks! There is no VH without Eddie.
he does not suck, that is a hack take, He is a legendary frontman
By far, the greatest frontman of all time not named Freddie.
Was the best front man, he has not been that for a very long time.
They need to do a one-off EVH tribute show featuring all former members, with special guests filling in on guitar. But no reunion without Eddie.
DLR is such an incoherent bag of wind.
Just like you baby boy!
