Progressive Rock legend Steven Wilson has shared an update on the future of Porcupine Tree.
Steven Wilson touched upon the band’s touring plans while sharing a year-end message in which he outlined some of his upcoming activities.
He wrote:
“Happy new year to you all!
“First and foremost a big thank you to everyone that enjoyed the @PorcupineTree ‘Closure / Continuation’ album / shows, and my book ‘Limited Edition Of One’ during the past year.
“Coming in 2023 will be my new album, a 10 track 65 minute musical journey that’s kinda hard to describe, but suffice to say it’s different again, not to mention totally pretentious (in a good way!). It will be released by @VirginMusicUK, more news soon.
“Meanwhile the (likely final) @PorcupineTree shows will be a handful of festival appearances over the Summer, check the band’s channels for more info.
“Lots more exciting stuff (at least to me) happening, but for now I’ll leave you with my very best wishes for the year ahead, I hope it will be a wonderful one for you.”

Would be nice to see p.t.at house of blues Houston this tour if you could Austin and Dallas a bit far i live i Houston anyway Have a great 2023
Sad news , there are a lot of Porcupine.tree songs that could be played live that have not been played on the CC tour , it would be much easier to write songs as they come instead of writing in a rush to spit out a new record , you could leasurly tour for a while and write as you go.I am looking forward to SW new stuff and hopefully a tour , I hate it when bands go on tour just to promote the new record and not to please the crowd with popular songs .
Glad I flew to Denver last summer to see the show, it was my 4th time, and they did not disappoint at all. Should I travel to see them one last time… hmmmm.
