The highly anticipated Stadium Tour, which showcases the legendary rock bands DEF LEPPARD and MÖTLEY CRÜE, has officially begun its journey through Europe. Last night (May 22), the rock icons took the stage at Bramhall Lane, the cherished home ground of DEF LEPPARD, located in Sheffield, England, UK. This remarkable performance marked the commencement of a series of 20 shows scheduled to take place across the continent.
Reflecting on the electrifying event, Joe Elliott, the frontman of DEF LEPPARD, expressed his excitement, stating, “Well, it finally arrived. We were so looking forward to bringing The World Tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE back to our home turf, and what a spectacular night it was!” The anticipation and enthusiasm for the show were palpable, fueled by the overwhelming success of the Stadium Tour in North America last year and in South and Central America earlier this year. The anticipation among UK and European fans was surpassed by the unforgettable experience in Sheffield, the place where it all began for DEF LEPPARD many years ago. Elliott further conveyed, “If the reaction we had last night at Bramall Lane is any indication, this UK/European leg of The World Tour is going to be fantastic!”
MÖTLEY CRÜE also shared their excitement about the tour’s kickoff. After wrapping up their time in the recording studio with Bob Rock, the band members wasted no time and headed straight to the UK to join forces with DEF LEPPARD for The World Tour. Describing the atmosphere in Sheffield, they exclaimed, “Sheffield was an amazing first UK crowd, and we’re excited for the rest of the shows, including the legendary Wembley Stadium on July 1.” Both MÖTLEY CRÜE and DEF LEPPARD have been occupied with various endeavors, but now they are fully prepared to deliver an exhilarating live experience to their fans across Europe.

However, the first show didn’t seem to go well with the Motley Crue fans.
Here are some of the comments from Crue fans:
“Motley would be wise to call it quits. But if they’re unwilling to do that, Vince needs to go.”
“Love Crue, but the stadium tour really should have been the final-final hurrah. I get they wanted to capitalize on their newfound popularity with the younger crowd due to their movie and that’s great, but now it’s just all negativity with anything related to them 24/7 it seems.”
“Nikki Sixx will no doubt say that this review just proves that they’re on the right track, and the critics never mattered, etc.”
“Here we go again with the Motley Crue 🥱🥱 boring”
“I was there, right down the front, and loved it. Both bands were superb.”
“Def Leppard rocked hard and Motley Crue was totally below average.”
