Tina Turner, renowned as the rock and roll queen, has sadly passed away at the age of 83. At the time of her death, she was residing in Küsnacht, Switzerland.
As stated by her representative, her cause of death was attributed to a long-standing illness she had been bravely fighting against.
After the distressing news broke, her representative issued the following statement:
“Tina Turner, the iconic ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll,’ peacefully passed away today at the age of 83 after a prolonged illness at her residence in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. With her departure, the world mourns the loss of a music legend and an inspirational figure.”
Originally named Anna Mae Bullock, the singer experienced a remarkable resurgence as a solo artist following her tumultuous and abusive marriage to Ike, who also served as her manager and bandmate. Tina’s divorce in 1978 proved to be an arduous journey to overcome, and even after the passage of 43 years, she continued to suffer from haunting nightmares.
In 2016, Turner was diagnosed with intestinal cancer, and the subsequent year, she underwent a kidney transplant. During her final years, she battled numerous life-threatening health complications, ultimately leading to her demise.
