Actress Charlyne Yi recently accused Marilyn Manson of sexual harassment and racism, and surprisingly Manson’s former bandmate Madonna Wayne Gacy (aka) Pogo has somewhat defended him, though he did compare him to Hitler and called him a ‘dick nut.’
On Friday night Yi, who appeared as a series regular on Fox’s medical drama House, said that Manson visited the cast while they were filming the final season as a fan and “harassed just about every woman asking us if we were going to scissor, rhino & called me a China man.” She added, “And then when you talk about the incidents you become known as the person tied to the harasser. And that’s just your name from now on. It almost overrides who you are.”
Here are Pogo’s Facebook comment responses:
Now here I’m going to defend him; what did you expect? Don’t you ever f****** listen to the lyrics?
It’s like expecting Hitler to walk on your set and not say anything about [Jewish people]? In fact that would also apply to him.
I’m just saying, he’s not a big fan of the Jewish people.
For fucksake, the lyrics are inherently imbued with sexual harassment and racist remarks?
And to be even more honest, I’m pretty sure he thought he was being funny, even though many a Truth is said in jest.
I am quite confident that the “Chinaman” comment was a “Big Lebowski” Walter Sobchak reference. And all the sexual innuendo is commonplace for any Rockstar since Rock Stars began.
That doesn’t make it right, but that doesn’t make it wrong. That just makes it what it is. And that is up to you to decide, I personally find it humorous.
“Aging Rockstar makes typically provocative comments, details at 11”
Seriously, I find this wickedly funny.
That’s the guy I like.
Precisely. It’s been defined over and over again. What the f*** did this person expect?
Again, it’s like claiming you never knew that Hitler had a problem with Jewish people.
Not that it makes Hitler or Brian any better for their malcontent issues. But you should have known better.
You know I don’t want to defend this dick nut, but in this case, someone is getting way too crazy over something so trivial. Over something so typical.
I mean yes, what he did was wrong, but it is inherently part of who he is. That doesn’t make it any more correct, it just makes it more ridiculous when you don’t understand that.
