There are a lot of great shows that are coming out this year for metal bands. Some of the big names are breaking out into the stadiums to show off new music. If you’re a metal head, then you’re going to want to see some of these shows that have been scheduled. Without further ado, we’re counting down some of the top metal acts that you are going to want to see in 2019.
Metallica
Whether you prefer their early or their later stuff, Metallica is one of those shows that are difficult to ignore. They have some great songs, always try their hardest, and tour in a lot of different cities. They’re hitting the road again in 2019 to continue showing off their latest album, Hardwired…to Self-Destruct. You’ll hear some old songs, new songs, and have a great time, but you can’t miss it.
Rammstein
It’s been almost a decade since the last studio album dropped from Rammstein and many were beginning to doubt that they were going to release another one at all. However, their new album is about to drop and that means that Rammstein will be taking their band on tour again. Their on-stage antics combined with their massive, pounding sounds and growled lyrics will bring out people in droves. If you’ve never been to a Rammstein show, expect fire, some BDSM, and to get sprayed down during some of the songs.
Disturbed
After getting some revitalization from their Immortalized album, Disturbed went and dropped a new album late last year. They are still on tour promoting Evolution, crossing the U.S. and bringing a lot of “oh-wah ah ah ahs” to their fans all over. Switching from metal to ballads like it’s no big feat, Disturbed provides a great show and tends to tour in many different cities so just about everyone has a chance of seeing them live.
Five Finger Death Punch
Five Finger Death Punch is a band that is starting to solidify its appeal with an audience away from just mainstream metal. They’re going international this year to drop some heavy songs in England before going back to the U.S. where their new audience includes military members and first responders. People who go to these shows can expect to have some great mosh pits and listen to the singer swap between harsh, grating vocals and a soothing croon.
Slipknot
Slipknot is coming back this year with a new album and a new tour. The lineup of the band could be changing this year as there seems to be some internal strife, but you can count on frontman Corey Taylor belting out some very fast-paced, challenging, and harsh lyrics. If their new singles All Out Life is any indication, this album is going to be nothing short of crazy. For those that are new to these shows or have forgotten what the band is like on tour, count on insane mosh pits, dust, and more percussion than any other band would ever be able to get away with.
This year is going to be one for the record books. Famous names are coming out of the woodwork and are going to be thrashing across the world. Old school bands like Metallica are joining seasoned bands like Rammstein, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, and Slipknot in bringing the best metal acts to the country. Whether you’re going to the shows alone or finding fellow metalheads to bring along as dates on this site, you’re bound to see some top of the line acts this year.
