In 2015, a sold-out crowd of 45,000 was in attendance at Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK to experience four stages of the best hard rock, metal and alternative artists, along with gourmet food trucks and extensive onsite experiences. Loudwire.com called the festival “one of the nation’s premier music events.”
After holding 2015’s Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK at Gibson Ranch, the festival returns to Discovery Park in 2016. “Gibson Ranch was a beautiful place to hold last year’s Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK,” says Danny Hayes, CEO of Danny Wimmer Presents, producers of Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK. “But there is just something really special about Discovery Park and its proximity to downtown. It offers the best of both the gorgeous park setting and all the amenities of Sacramento.”
“We’re couldn’t be more excited that AFTERSHOCK is returning to Discovery Park, the festival’s original home in Sacramento,” said Mike Testa, COO of Visit Sacramento. “While showcasing the natural treasure of Discovery Park to visitors from across the United States, it also brings the attendees in closer proximity to our city and county hotels to maximize the festival’s millions of dollars in economic impact.”
