LIFE IS NOISE is pleased to announce the return of Neurosis to Australian shores, and the first ever tour of New Zealand, this February. The ‘post’ pioneers will be crushing audiences in Wellington, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Today the promoter has announced the support acts for the tour. Below are the details:
SPOOK THE HORSES : Wellington – San Fran – February 14
Spook the Horses are an atmospheric post-metal band from Wellington, New Zealand. The follow up to their 2011 release, ‘Brighter’, was released Feb 2 2015. Titled ‘Rainmaker’, their new album sees the band move away from their previous dense trio of guitars and into the arid and spacious. Strings, horns and haunting vocals present ‘Rainmaker’ as a descent to the dry, desperate earth.
OLD LOAVES : Auckland – Kings Arms – February 15
It’s hard to label Old Loaves’ musical style. The band’s sound is one that appeals to a diverse audience. Those who are most appreciative perhaps are those who will understand not only rock’s relevant sub classifications, but also the unique way in which lengthy intervals, distance and contemplation can result in something that is innovative and deserving of praise.
DISPOSSESSED (SYD) : Brisbane – The Triffid – February 16
Sydney – Manning Bar – February 17
Melbourne – The Croxton – February 18
DISPOSSESSED is a collective of disenfranchised peoples of different identities disgusted with the zeitgeist of society, the illusion of where progress is leading and the apathy of our surroundings. You are a product of colonial violence, the floor beneath you is stolen and covered in blood, your flag is a salute to genocide. Enough is enough. We are here to resist and fight the systematic abuse that our mob is put under.
Catch Neurosis on the following dates:
Wellington – San Fran – February 14
Auckland – Kings Arms – February 15
Brisbane – The Triffid – February 16
