Guitar..?? Check!! Drums..?? Check!! Check!! Bass..?? Check..!! Singer..?? Check..!! Check and Check..!!!
Every now and then, you would attend to take some extra crazy steps as compared to that of the conventional band setup. Don’t mistake me but I am not referring to the keytar! If you are incorporating the instruments externally, then you might consider the same to be a part of your troupe itself.
Breaking the icy wall and rebellion against the standards of the core Rock ‘n’ Roll ideologies, here are instruments included in the Rock Bands that you won’t imagine to be a part of the same. You would find some of these as if it is breaking your pocket, but grab some of the Argos offers so that you would be able to save more.
Lets get started!
-
Bagpipes
If you have watched “If You Wanna Rock n Roll” or “It is a Long Way to the Top”, then you must have noticed the Bagpipes playing in the AC/DC Classic mode. The bagpipes assumed the role of melody immediately after the first chorus finished along with the response from the guitar.
Also, Korn’s “Shoots and Ladders” would initiate with a bagpipe’s introductory segment. The famed Jonathon Davis himself opens up and plays a Bagpipe himself onstage!
-
Hurdy Gurdy
The Hurdy Gurdy instrument has a crank with a wheel deep inside. This wheel will get rubbed against the strings of this Hurdy Gurdy instrument and produces a similar sound to that of the Bagpipes. The tune will sound even more melodious when played with the keyboard and guitar as well.
-
Waterphone
A type of acoustic percussion instrument, Waterphone has a pan and bowl along with a cylindrical instrument neck and bronze rods that surrounds the same. This instrument also appeared in the song, “The Alchemist’s Goatthrone” make your mood set immediately as soon as you hear the melody.
As you go on to hear and hum the tune along, you will get the sight of countless horror movies those who have used this instrument for the same purpose.
-
Chainsaw
Do you remember the solo from Jackyl, “The Lumberjack?” If you remember, the song starts with the use of the Chainsaw. But nowhere and nobody expected the performance of the singer Jesse James Dupree.
-
Nai
The troupe of Negura Bunget always take pride for the Romanian heritage. They incorporate a range of the folk instruments for their black metal overtones. Nai, a type of Pan flute is one of the best examples. This band also make the use of the Tulnic (Ricola commercials), traditional flute, and lot more. Also included are xylophone and kaval here. I was happy with that as well.
-
Hammered Dulcimer
A black metal band, Botanist is a great example of a band that surpasses all the records of the use of guitars. However, the latest trend that they have embraced is that of a pair of the Hammered Dulcimers. These Dulcimers help them to produce for a range of the soundscapes. It also provides a interesting alternative to the conventional band setup along with the performers.

Accordion
If you want to experience the best Finnish metallers, then Korpiklaani is the amongst the feel good bands. The music is playful yet soulful to the extent. Thanks to the largely centered themes around the melodies to the accordion.
All the items that are listed above are some of the most bizarre items that is rarely included in the Metal Bands. Have a try for yourself and decide!
