Mlny Parsonz:
Mlny Parsonz’s powerful emotional voice is really something special. She is the frontwoman of a four-piece rock band Royal Thunder based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The band seamlessly blends the elements of heavy classic rock, ‘90s grunge, and progressive rock. Their 2015 album ‘Crooked Doors’ has been praised by media including Stereogum, The Guardian, and NPR, the latter of which called the Atlanta band ‘a modern master of hard-rock.’
Taylor Momsen:
Taylor Momsen faced quite a bit of cynicism when she was making her first steps in rock. The reason for that was her previous success as a co-star in a TV show ‘Gossip Girl.’ Not a typical background for a hard rock goddess, you know. But Momsen has silenced many of those skeptics since her second album with a hard rock band called The Pretty Reckless debuted at #5 on the Billboard charts.

Lzzy Hale:
Hale is best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the American hard rock band Halestorm, which she co-founded in 1997. Her charismatic presence and incredible vocal delivery have owned stages across the globe. Over the years she shared the stage with share the stage with Ronnie James Dio, Eric Church, Lindsey Stirling, Shinedown, Machine Gun Kelly, Black Stone Cherry, Seether, Adrenaline Mob and Stone Sour, and others. Hale even has her own Signature Gibson Explorer guitar! She has also created a jewelry and clothing line, a blog, and a column for Revolver Magazine.
Emily Armstrong:
Emily is a frontwoman of an American hard rock group Dead Sara. She picked up a guitar at the age of twelve and began writing songs. Then, at sixteen, she met bandmate Siouxsie Medley through a mutual friend and started writing songs together. By 2005, they were performing together as a band. Their eponymous 2012 debut proved their worth on tour, opening for Chevelle, Muse and playing the Vans Warped Tour. Emily also performed backing vocals on Courtney Love’s album Nobody’s Daughter.
Nita Strauss:
Best known for her work with Iron Maiden all-female tribute band The Iron Maidens, her career has meant involvement with several rock ensembles such as the band Femme Fatale and the LA Kiss musical backing group. In June 2014, she replaced Orianthi as Alice Cooper’s touring guitarist. Nita has also recently started a solo career. Oh, and by the way, one of Nita’s ancestors on her father’s side is the Austrian composer Johann Strauss II. No biggie.

Joan Jett:
Even though Joan was not the lead singer, she has always been the creative link that kept the pioneering all-girl rock band the Runaways together. After the band’s disintegration in 1979, Joan started a successful solo career. Her singles ‘Bad Reputation’ and ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’ set her up as the decade’s bad girl hard rocker.
Ann Wilson:
Ann’s astonishing vocal range makes her one of rock’s coolest female singers. She is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the hard rock band Heart. At the time she first joined the band, hard rock was a boys’ club. But Ann and her sister Nancy changed the game forever with a series of Heart’s hit albums. In 2006, Wilson recorded her first solo album, Hope & Glory, features guest appearances from Elton John, Gretchen Wilson, Shawn Colvin, Wynonna Judd, and Deana Carter.
Pat Benatar:
A four-time Grammy Award winner, Pat has two multi-platinum albums, five platinum albums, three gold albums, and fifteen Billboard Top 40 singles.
In the late ‘70s, Benatar became one of hard rock’s leading ladies, backed by singles such as “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Promises in the Dark” and “Hell is for Children.”

Kobra Paige:
Both a pianist and powerhouse vocalist, Kobra studied classical music in The Royal Music Conservatory of Canada. She became famous as the founder of the hard rock/metal band Kobra and the Lotus. The band’s second album was recorded with producer Julius Butty, and the demo tracks were shopped to Universal Music who subsequently played them for Gene Simmons, who was influential in the band signing to Universal Music for their second self-titled album Kobra and the Lotus.
Priya Panda:
Priya is a frontwoman of a Canadian hard rock band Diemonds. Their latest album, Never Wanna Die, was dedicated to the former members of Diemonds who have died. It resonates with a heavy 80’s sleaze rock influence, along with elements of thrash, punk and traditional metal. Diemonds were the first female-fronted rock band to play in Shillong, India.
In 2015 Priya fronted She Demons, an all-female band put together by The Misfits’ Jerry Only.
