Online slot games come in many guises, so it should be no surprise to discover that there are a whole lot of musically themed slots out there. In fact if you look hard enough, you will easily discover that there are more than a hundred games which feature a musical theme. Now, not all of these could be described as classics by any means, as there are as many duds around as there are genuine hits (anyone for the ‘Gangnam Slot’? Thought not.) We’ve picked out some of the best rock-themed slot games, and these are all killer, no filler.
Kiss have got their distinctively made up faces plastered over any number of products, so it’s hardly a surprise to find that there’s a slot game in their honour as well. Unlike some of the old tat that Gene Simmons and crew have lent their images to, this game is actually pretty good. The game uses a colossal reel feature for extra winning opportunities, and is sound tracked by classic songs like Detroit Rock City, Rock and Roll All Nite and Shout it Out Loud.
Perhaps a more unexpected choice as a theme for a slot is the Motorheadgame from NetEntertainment. This time the band don’t make an appearance on the reels – apart from the head of legendary front-man Lemmy – but you will find a version of the famous War Pig logo being used. There is a black chrome sheen to the game, and it plays out in front of an empty stage waiting for the band to make an appearance. Motorhead fans will be happy with the track-list, as it includes Iron Fist, Overkill, Killed by Death and – of course – Ace of Spades.
Megadeth is an action-packed slot game which features four band members from the extended group of players who have been in the group at one stage or another. This game was released in 2012, so apart from singer Dave Mustaine it also uses the images of David Ellefson, Shawn Drover and Chris Broderick, even though the latter two have since left the band. The bonus rounds on offer here are a lot of fun, and the game looks and sounds awesome.
NetEntertainment produced a series of three games in 2016, which included the previously mentioned Motorhead as well as a Jimi Hendrix game. The third entry in the series has become one of the most popular online slot games around, fittingly for a game named after one of the biggest rock groups of all time. The Guns ‘n Roses slot features the classic line-up of Axl, Slash and Duff McKagan, although Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler don’t make an appearance. You will find some familiar tunes here though, with Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City just two of the famous tracks on the set list. Add in some excellent bonus features and this rock-themed slot makes it to the top of the charts.
