Whitesnake’s David Coverdale has waxed lyrical about the band’s next studio album.
The follow-up to 2015’s ‘The Purple Album’ is tentatively due for release in the first half of 2018 and will feature song writing input from Whitesnake guitarists Reb Beach and with Joel Hoekstra for the first time.

In a video interview promoting the recently released 30th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set reissue of the ‘1987’ album, David was reflecting upon closer ‘Don’t Turn Away’ being a huge fan favourite and how he gets requests to perform it live.
“There are songs I’ve never played live that are people’s absolute favourites and that’s (‘Don’t Turn Away’) one of them,” David said.
“I’ll talk to my agent and band and see if we should… the problem is we’ve got a kick-ass new album for next year and it’s got some seriously Whitesnake live in-your-face stuff so it’s going to be really hard. It’s nice to have the choice of course.”
