Heart’s three-year hiatus has officially ended with the latest announcement of a comeback tour.

As reported, the band’s guitarist Ann Wilson and her sister, singer Nancy Wilson, had a falling out during the group’s 2016 tour, when Ann’s husband Dean Welter got arrested for assaulting Nancy’s then-16-year-old twin sons backstage at a show near Seattle, WA.
Dean pleaded guilty to two lesser assault charges to avoid prison, but the group did not continue to operate.
Titled “Love Alive,” the comeback trek will take Heart across the US and Canada, featuring special guests Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Sheryl Crow, and Brandi Carlile, as well as Elle King and Lucie Silvas as the opening acts.
Nancy previously said on Let There Be Talk about the hiatus:
“There was a family drama that was highly uncalled for and unnecessary and hurtful, and it was just one of those things that takes time to get past. So, a couple of years have gone by.
“It’s not anything that Ann ever did wrong, or I ever did wrong, but it’s just one of those family dramas that just happened, and it just kind of poisoned the atmosphere for a while there.
“So it’s good. I’ve had a real positive feeling about now that I’m communicating directly more with Ann.”
Asked on who made the initial contact about a possible reunion tour, Nancy replied:
“I’ve been sort of [reaching out to Ann] for a while, but she was kind of busy and, I think, scared to talk.

“And I kind of said, ‘I’m not ever gonna confront you about anything, but there is this huge offer on the table, so we should talk – just the two of us.'”

The 2016 concert where things got a little out of hand with the then 16 year old twins. I attended, and heard about it. I felt bad about what happened because I understand how easy something like this can happen because I too have a son. I am glad to hear that you got past this. I will never get tired of your music and your concerts.
This article has the Wilson sisters mixed up. Ann is the lead singer & Nancy is guitarist.
