2019 is so messed up. I just got to know that guitarist Bernie Torme – known for his work in the Gillan band, as well as for briefly joining Ozzy Osbourne‘s band after the death of Randy Rhoads – had passed away yesterday (March 17), a day before his 67th birthday.
The musician’s social channels broke the news by simply writing: “Bernie Tormey 18.3.1952 – 17.3.2019.”
Last month, it was announced that Bernie was “extremely ill in intensive care with virulent double pneumonia. We ask for your prayers.”
Rest in peace, legend.
