It’s uber cool to have a discussion on rock music inside the government office. The same thing happened on March 7th when the House of Representatives in Canada discussed Nickelback. As Fox News report, representatives Randy Davis, a Republican, and Mark Pocan, a Democrat, were debating a particular bill which ended up sparking a brief debate about the band. Apparently, Mr. Pocan cited that only four in 77,000 questioned people were in favor of keeping the current state of things and added:
“That’s probably about the percent of people who think Nickelback is their favorite band in this country. It’s pretty low.”
After seeing Davis’ reaction, he added:
“Nickelback is your favorite band? I apologize to the gentleman.”
Davis then chimed in:
“Why would you criticize one of the greatest bands of the 90s?”
