As reported yesterday, Manowar walked out of Hellfest even before their performance.
Our folks at MetalSucks have some new report on the ongoing Manowar/Hellfest drama.
MetalSucks reported from an anonymous source stating:
“Manowar arrived at the festival grounds on June 20 — the night before they were scheduled to perform. They wanted to do a soundcheck at that time, but were unable to do so because Slipknot’s Knotfest kicked off the weekend festivities with Thursday’s ‘Knotfest Meets Hellfest.’
Things got out of control on Friday morning when Manowar went for the soundcheck the following morning, they were reportedly unhappy with the sound; specifically, they’re said to have been displeased that the festival wouldn’t allow them to play at a volume that was to their liking due to local regulations.
Note: There are laws on the books that literally would not allow the festival’s performers to play any louder.
The source also mentioned the band being displeased with the size of the stage on which they were to play, despite the fact that it was the main stage and that it would be the same size for every band that played on it during the festival, including Kiss and Tool.
Let us know in the comments below and we will keep you updated with new reports.

If the stage is too small, how comes bands with huge effects and pyros like Rammstein play their full regular show and Manowar (who is not known for stage extravaganza) is unable to play?
This band is a joke since the very beginning. They rant about everything, they say other bands are posers, their lyrics consist of at most a 100 words they keep reusing in different orders. Not to mention the Karl Logan affair. They are ridiculous beyond words and totally unprofessionnal.
Oh, and about playing louder, there are laws limiting the sound volume in almost all Europe. This is the law, same for everybody.
Other bands play, Manowar sucks !
