As reported & confirmed last week, Motley Crue have been offered a $150 Million reunion tour.
According to Rolling Stone, MÖTLEY CRÜE will hit the road next year for a U.S. tour with fellow hard rock acts POISON and DEF LEPPARD.
Sources have confirmed to the magazine that the three acts will perform at stadiums around the country.
The upcoming trek means that the four members of MÖTLEY CRÜE have collectively agreed to rip up the “cessation of touring” contract that they signed in 2014 preventing any of them from performing under the CRÜE name in the future.
In an article titled The Motley Crue Tour Is Too Expensive For Iowa, Iowa’s 94.1 KRNA Classic Rock reported as follows:
“An industry friend of mine told me he was offered the show. The numbers breakout like this according to his inquiry:
Motley Crue: $2 Million
Def Leppard $1 Million
Poison: $250,000″
You can read the rest of the article at Iowa’s 94.1 KRNA Classic Rock‘s website.
These are huge figures and looking at it, Motley Crue will be headlining followed by Def Leppard and Poison.
This also means the promoter will have to sell more than 40,000 tickets and charge almost $85 per ticket just to cover the cost oo these 3 legendary bands.
In a new interview with Rock Talk with Mitch Lafon podcast with rock journalist Mitch Lafon, Bobby Blotzer discussed the Motley Crue reunion.
Lafon also mentioned a fourth band which will be added to the lineup.
