With the recent rumors on Motley Crue canceling the upcoming The Stadium Tour, fans are confused and waiting for the official announcement.
MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee confirmed that the band’s “The Stadium Tour” with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS is happening.
POISON drummer Rikki Rockett says that he doesn’t know anything about a possible postponement of the tour.
Most concerts and festivals have been canceled or rescheduled due to the coronavirus pandemic. But Rockett stated during a Facebook Live chat on Wednesday (April 8) that he is unaware of any plans to postpone the trek.
He said:
“I don’t have any news about that, so don’t ask me about it,” he said (see video below).
“I have heard nothing, so I don’t know anything — period.”
Here’s the statement from Tommy Lee:
“We’re all in constant communication”
“[Bassist] Nikki [Sixx] and I have been in several production meetings. You’re talking multiple stadiums, so it’s like two kids in a candy store putting together something people are going to walk [away from] saying, ‘Are you f*cking kidding me?!’ That’s our mission right now, and it’s definitely headed in that direction.”
There is little indication as to when we might get the coronavirus under control to the extent that public gatherings and normal business can resume. Even some of the more conservative estimates say certain areas may be locked down until the end of the summer and possibly into the fall.
On his drum setup for the tour, he said:
“What am I supposed to do at this point?”
“I literally have done the impossible — and all of it. Do I shoot myself out of a f*ckin’ cannon? At a stadium, there’s no ceiling. There’s nothing to hang from, so there’s a bunch of issues we’ve been talking about, trying to get around a lot of that. It’s f*cking crazy town, dude.”
He added:
“By the time all this f*cking apocalyptic bullsh*t is over, I think everyone’s going to be in a really good mood to go out and have the f*cking best time ever. I really do. I hope everyone stays inside, and we can get a f*cking grip on this and get back to people having their normal lives.”
As reported by Sleaze Roxx, Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil has lost more than 20lbs in preparation for the upcoming tour with Def Leppard & Poison.
Here’s the statement from the source saying the tour may get canceled:
“As far as the Mötley thing goes, my source has just gotten off the phone with his contact and the tour is almost 100% canceled. Rehearsals at an unknown location in LA were supposed to happen in May. Those have been canceled. Given the band’s age and to quote the contact’s words “declining ability”, it may not even get rescheduled. Vince [Neil] had already lost in excess of 20 lbs.”
Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Hannah has shared a new look of herself with Vince on the Instagram account and exposed his latest look. Vince looked quite healthy.
