BIG BIG news for Progressive rock and metal fans. After years and years of the waiting game, we now have an official statement from Liquid Tension Experiment keyboardist Jordan Rudess on the reunion.
As you know Mike Portnoy, drummer of the project has repeatedly mentioned in the past that the project will reunite soon.
Here’s what Jordan said:
“Well, the answer is: we are looking at our schedules, we are organizing a time. With the pandemic, it’s been a little difficult to coordinate personal kind-of gatherings but, it looks very good, my friend.”
Last year when we interviewed Jordan about the same, he said:
“I recently had a little musical experience with my old friend Mike Portnoy; we were talking about it. I hadn’t played with him in, like, nine years, I think, so it was kind of fun getting together and banging one of the old pieces.
“It was that period of time when it was a little bit rough for everybody, but yeah, we were talking about it, it would be something really fun to do.
“I would love to do that, it’s a matter of scheduling, everybody’s really busy; I mean, Mike himself has how many bands – I lost count – and we’re so busy. I’m so busy in our world.
“But to get to the point, I think it’s gonna happen, but we don’t have it in the schedule yet.”
