May 30th was a historic day for all Americans. SpaceX launched a rocket titled Crew Dragon into an orbit.
This happened for the first time in nine years from American soil.
Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken are not only trialing a new capsule system, but they are also initiating a new business model for NASA.
According to CNN, the astronauts rocked out to AC/DC when headed to the rocket for their monumental launch.
Here’s what Berman said:
“We were told the astronauts listened to ‘Back in Black’ from AC/DC on their way to the rocket. In that vein let’s just say, for those about to launch, we salute you.”
Upon arriving at the International Space Station, where they will remain for up to three months, the two astronauts were woken up in orbit by Black Sabbath’s “Planet Caravan” from 1970’s “Paranoid” album.
The source adds that Behnken “in particular, is definitely a fan of metal, as he previously woke up to Tool’s “Parabola” during a 2010 Space Shuttle mission.”
