Interviewing Steel Panther is always fun.
During a conversation with 97.9X Rocks, Steel Panther axeman Satchel talked about a moment when they kicked out POISON’s C.C. DeVille from the stage.
When asked whether anyone has come up on stage and be like, they wanted to do the rest of the night with you, Satchel said:
“Oh yeah, as a matter of fact, [guitarist] C.C. DeVille from Poison, we had him on stage one time – by the way, I love CC, he’s awesome, I’d say he’s one of the greatest guitar players in the world.
“But the night that he got on stage with us, he didn’t want to play the guitar, so he got on the drums, and he was so drunk, and he just started doing a drum solo…
“And we were looking back at him, and we were like, ‘C.C., stop, you have to stop playing the drums.’ And he wouldn’t stop playing the drums, so we actually had to have security forcibly remove him from the drums, which is pretty heavy metal.”
When asked about his relationship with CC, Satchel said:
“Yeah, I think I’ve talked to him a couple of times. I run into him every once in a while; he’s a great guy, we all love C.C., and I’m looking forward to the next time we have to forcibly remove him from our stage.”
