The Sturgis Rally, which former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho and his band Fozzy played out, has now been linked to a quarter of a million Coronavirus cases.
Andrew Friedson on Twitter noted that the Sturgis Rally is believed to have been responsible for 250,000 Coronavirus cases between August 2 and September 2.
There were a slew of rock and metal bands like Buckcherry, Trapt, Fozzy, Drowning Pool, Quiet Riot, Smash Mouth, Adelitas Way, Saving Abel, and Night Ranger.
It is now being deemed a “super spreader event.”
The rally is said to have led to 19% of the Coronavirus cases across the US during that time period.
“We estimate that over 250,000 of the reported cases between August 2 and September 2 are due to the Sturgis Rally. Roughly 19 percent of the national cases during this timeframe.”
