After the passing of legendary guitarist, Eddie Van Halen, it was rumoured a Van Halen reunion.
Because of this, Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolfgang, reacted to all those rumours and said that people are taking an advantage from the heartbreaking news and all these must stop, hurting Halen’s family.
A hater decided to share a post on Twitter and disrespected Wolfgang Van Halen by insulting him brutally and underestimating his talent.
The hater said:
“You are an idiot. Saying a reunion is “hurting my family” is crybaby bs. The fans want Van Hagar or Van Dave, not you. STFU douchebag!!! You will never have as much talent as even one of Valerie’s late ex-husbands’ guitar picks!”
Here is what Van Halen said (time ago):
“Here’s the attention you asked for. Also, go f*ck yourself.
Wolf Van Halen continued and shared another post stating that his time off from social media seemingly was not enough and expressed his regrets about clarifying the fake news and opening up about his emotions:
“Been off for a while. Apparently not long enough. When stupid rumors make it to me outside of this social media hellhole I thought it was important enough to clarify that it was bulls**t. Sorry for the clarity, everyone. I’m out.”

Stay strong Wolf
yes reunion would be cool as hell ,but people need to respect your feelings surrounding your decision to play or not to play,im behind you all the way wolf
The loss of Eddie van Halen is so extreme and felt by many. Eddie’s talent and gentle soul will be missed forever. The glint in his eyes and that great happiness when he played was so pure.
I have followed the flow of mourning since his passing. While I have never joined any site to leave my thoughts, I have done so here.
There have been comments left by some very atrocious trolls. I cannot believe they are actually fans of Van Halen.
To even take the disrespectful shots at Wolfgang that I just read, leave me feeling really sad for the van Halen family, for Valerie and her family and anyone close to them.
I find it entirely impossible as well as disgusting and disappointing for anyone who claims to be a fan of Eddie’s to be so completely foul and hurtful towards the one person in this life that he has shown over and over again how much he loves and adores, his son.
Has it even penetrated your incredibly small vision that the love they have for eachother will always be alive and the bond shared is truly amazing and strong?
Understand this as well, the masses that were able to enjoy Eddie touring with his son playing bass were far more lucky than most are realizing.
Without Wolfgang on bass and touring it is my belief that there would not have been any touring. Eddie went on the road again to have his son perform with him. Eddie’s greatest dream was to do just that.
Wake up and absorb the fact that Wolfgang is very talented. Just because it may not be what your tunnel vision was hoping for, doesn’t mean that ‘Distance’ isn’t anything short of beautiful. Im sure the album coming out will also hold majestic creations as well.
To ridicule and treat Wolfgang so rudely is actually an attack on Eddie as well!!
Don’t you get it?
Why would you wait until Eddie is not here to bring such dark words towards his son? Wolfgang joined Van Halen many years ago, with much excitment and anticipation.
However, not until many, many hours of work, spanning two years, with Eddie and Alex had been completed. (I think I read somewhere Wolfgang had said something like….they made me practice with them for two years first…). Both his father and his uncle made sure he was adequately prepared and ready beforehand.
I’d say all did an exemplary job.
So, I ask again, why the cruel and unwarranted statements now?
Crawl back under that bridge and leave them alone.
