Singer Dee Snider recently talked with Zoran Theodorovic of MetalgodZradiO, where he recalled a different experience from the 1984’s Twisted Sister tour with Dio.
Here’s what Snider recalled:
“Dio — and I love Dio and I love Ronnie [James Dio] — but when we toured with Dio, they wouldn’t move any of their equipment, so we were forced onto the lip of the stage in front of the lights so you couldn’t see us.
”We got no spotlights. They reduced the P.A. That’s the way a lot of those old bands did it.”

Isn’t this still pretty much how it’s done today with up and coming bands? It wasn’t a co-headlining tour, Dee.
