In a new interview with Little Punk People, Zakk Wylde looked back on working on the classic Ozzy album “No More Tears.”
Here’s what he said:
“I just have nothing but great memories of making that record with Oz. With Ozzy, it’s just a miracle any work ever gets done because we’re always constantly laughing, and eating pizza.
“When we made that record – when we listen back to it, we’re really excited about it. I remember when Ozzy did the vocal track on ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home,’ I remember getting chills when I heard that one.
“And the whole record, and then ‘Time After Time,’ Oz would call me up when he had put the harmonies on, he was like, ‘Zakk, you got to check this out!’ He put it up on the phone because when he put the harmonies on the second line,
“It was just, ‘Wow! That sounds amazing!’ Nothing but great memories, and then when we went out and we toured behind it, it was great. And now, here we are 30 years later, doing the ‘No More Tours 2,’ so it’s still great.”
When asked about the sweetest thing Ozzy has said to him, Zakk responded:
“‘Zakk, go make me a ham sandwich and go light on the mustard. Otherwise, I’m gonna hurt you.’ I’ve always gotten light on the mustard and here we are, 30-plus-years’ later, and I’m still going light on the mustard, and he hasn’t hurt me yet.
“That means I’m obviously making him sandwiches pretty good. When you go with Colman’s mustard, you don’t want it to overpower the sandwich. You want to add flavor, not overpower. There you go.”

Never understood why Zakk never swings at Darth Hideous and Ozzy, they have done some shady crap to him too. Why Ozzy never leveraged Zakk’s vocals on harmonies is also shocking
