Former Mötley Crüe singer John Corabi recently appeared as a guest on Artists on Record and talked about the rumors circulating about him and Vince Neil.
He revealed that they are not true but gave some details about their relationship.
When asked about whether Vince Neil ever called him for vocal lessons, John Corabi replied:
“No, Vince is a good dude, man. You know what’s funny? Everybody assumes that Vince and I can’t stand each other, and what’s really funny is we did a festival together here in Nashville probably six or seven years ago. I played earlier in the evening and I kind of hung out for a little bit, and I had some cocktails with some friends, and then I was leaving, and I was walking past his bus.
The guys in his band came out, and they’re like, ‘Dude, Vince wants to say hi’ so I went on the bus, and we sat there for a f*cking hour. We just sat there and bullsh*tted. We were laughing about a bunch of stuff, and then it was funny he did the ‘Monsters on the Mountain,’ unfortunately fell and broke some ribs. A little freak accident, but it was funny; the next day, the guy’s in his band, obviously.
Dan and Mark, and Jeff Blando, they were all there. I played two or three times that weekend, and I was leaving the venue. I saw Dana, and they were like, ‘Hey, dude, I got to tell you. As soon as we got here last night, Vince saw that you were on the bill, and he was looking for it. He just wanted to say hi.’ So we actually get along, again without opening a can. I’ve been talking with Tommy quite a bit. I always talk to Mick. We’ll text each other like funny little memes and things like that. I get along with Vince, but it is for some reason Nikki’s got a f*cking thing for me.”
