Drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away a few days ago, was honored during the televised portion of the Grammy Awards ceremony’s “In Memoriam” segment.
But his honoring was blasted with frustration on Twitter by the rock and metal fans, because Grammy Awards forgot and failed to recognize late Slipknot drummer, Joey Jordison as well.
But, the Recording Academy didn’t completely forget about Jordison, Jon and Marsha Zazulas (Megaforce Records), Jeff LaBar (Cinderella), and Graeme Edge (The Moody Blues), as they were listed, along with several hundred other musicians and folks important to the industry, on the Grammy.com website under the “The Recording Academy, Remembers The Music People We’ve Lost: Grammy In Memoriam” section.
