During Motley Crue’s concert in St. Louis, Missouri on July 5th, it showed that singer Vince Neil is using the teleprompter on stage.
Two days after Blabbermouth.com shared a story regarding this, former MTV “Headbangers Ball” host Riki Rachtman posted the following message on his Twitter page:
“So @MotleyCrue used a teleprompter. Really who f**kin cares. Did you have fun at the show? That’s what matters. A lot of bands have used teleprompters STOP looking for reasons to criticize. Recorded vocals an artist not caring is bad Teleprompters? Who cares”.
Singer Dee Snider replied to Rachtman’s tweet saying:
“True that! MOST bands are using teleprompters. Not me, but I didn’t kill a lot of my brain cells with drink and drugs (not a criticism. More of an explanation). STOP being so damn critical and just enjoy seeing the people you love on stage! Now lip synching is another story!”
Many other musicians were defending Vince Neil, sharing different tweets regarding using a teleprompter: Stryper’s Michael Sweet, Disturbed’s David Draiman, Shinedown’s Zach Myers, Fozzy’s Chris Jericho. and others.
