Nikki Sixx recently revealed how he was against the idea of reuniting Mötley Crüe for the massive “Stadium Tour” at first.
Speaking to Entertainment Online alongside drummer Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx said:
“It’s been unbelievable. I’m so grateful to be doing this, and it started, like, three years ago when the movie came out – two and a half years ago. We kind of, we broke up the band. We just decided to quit touring. We’ve been doing it for, god, 35 years at that point.
“Tommy does other stuff, and I do other stuff, and I remember getting the phone call from management, and I was like. ‘No.’ And they go, ‘You haven’t even heard what I have to say.'”
Earlier Nikki Sixx shared on his Instagram official page his favorite tour by far in decades.
He said:
“This moment. The moment I’ve experienced 1000’s times from playing small clubs to stadiums over the last 45 years of my life. The moment right before we hit the stage. I wish I could boil it down and pass it around in a shot glass for everybody. It’s high, it’s a meditative state, it’s rage, and it’s gratitude.
”All the work, all the songwriting, all the stage designs, all the band rehearsals, and all the joy of being in a band. The list goes on and on. God bless rock n roll. God bless the fans. Thank you. Who wants a shot of adrenaline? Bottoms up. Let’s do it again tomorrow night in Cleveland.
”PS: This is by far my favorite tour in decades, and Def Leppard is a joy to hang out with and do a co-headline tour together with.”
