With 2022 ‘The Stadium Tour’ turning out to be a massive success for Motley Crue, Def Leppard & Poison, all eyes are on the next stadium tour which is planned for 2023/2024.
2023 TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT COMING:
The tour announcement could be coming in the next few weeks following Joe’s hint and the tour mentions at the end of the tour video.
Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx recently took his official Twitter account and responded to a fan’s question about whether the following year’s Stadium Tour will feature the same names.
Last month, when a Twitter user asked Nikki Sixx whether the Stadium tour would be their farewell, the bassist revealed that they didn’t want to stop. In a new Q&A with his fans, a user wanted to learn whether the same band would join Mötley Crüe in their next Stadium Tour or if there would be any changes in the lineup.
Sixx replied by saying that Crüe and Def Leppard would continue touring as co-headliners, but Poison and Joan Jett wouldn’t be joining them next time.
A fan’s question to Nikki Sixx:
“Are the bands that will appear on next year’s stadium tour the same band as this time? or change some?“
The bassist replied:
“Just us and Def Leppard stay the same.”
Here’s the Tweet.
JOE ELLIOTT UPDATE:
Joe mentioned he was busy “setting up stuff” in California which would “come to light pretty soon” without saying exactly what he was referring to.
UP TO 120 MORE SHOWS:
Recent Motley Crue tour updates mentioned the same places as Joe in the new video – South America, Mexico, and Europe.
Another update from a Vince Neil interview suggested up to 120 more shows could be played on The Stadium Tour in 2023 and 2024 (with the USA/Canada getting a second run of shows).
A number of high-profile rock festivals are due to make announcements soon about their 2023 line-ups.
Joe said back in July that festival shows would be mixed in with solo stadium dates in 2023 in UK/Europe which could well include previously played events like Download and Sweden Rock etc.
In a new video posted by Def Leppard on their official YouTube channel (see below), singer Joe Elliott revealed their plan to tour further along Motley Crue by next year.
He said:
“Captain’s log: star date September 9, 2022, Las Vegas, Nevada, the last night of the Stadium Tour, so far, because this is show 36 and it is all booked, but it has been very big.”
Joe continued:
“When something goes this well, there is always the opportunity to expand. We have already promised everybody in Europe, specifically in Great Britain, that we will bring it over there next year, which we are, but we will also take it to South America and hopefully Australia, Japan, and New Zealand.
”There is a certain amount of melancholy for two reasons. One: it is the last night of the tour, and two: her majesty the Queen has just passed away yesterday. All British citizens are very sad about the fact that she is gone, but God bless her for being in our lives since we were born, but we move on. So, it is the case of God Bless the Queen, and God Save the King.”

All I can say is…Def Leppard & Motley Crue have been my FAVORITE bands EVER!! Seriously!! I have loved them since I was a teenager, in the 80’s!!!! (Yes, that makes me “getting old!!! Lololol) Believe it or not, I STILL have my concert ticket stubs from then…..price range was $7.50–$11.50!!!! Lol!!! I have a Def Leppard t-shirt still, that I got at the concert!!! Tho it’s abit small now, lol, I have it hanging on my wall, with all my framed concert tickets, & my turn table!!!! I can say….I’m definitely stuck on my 80’s bands!!!! You both ROCK!!!
I’d so LOVE to get to your new concert tour somewhere…..somehow!! In my eyes, YOUR THE BEST, & ALWAYS WILL BE!!!
Me & my best friend go see our favorite band near our town, who plays TONS of your music. They are GREAT, & sound so much like you!! They are our “80’s fix”, & have gotten to be friends with them. The singer, Shawn, has actually met Vince Neil a few times himself, & is a huge CRUE fan. The name of their band is “SKIN KANDY”……they’re definitely worth a listen…..I love them!!!
Anyway…I had to share……..definitely follow you both & maybe I can be at your 2023 tour!!!! Love you guys!!! ❤️❤️ your BIGGEST fan….Beckie
