Just saw “Foreigner” in Atlantic city, As far as I’M concerned their farewell tour happened already when Mick Jones actually played with this band. Not one original band member was on stage. This is just a COVER BAND in my opinion. Don’t understand how they don’t tell the public who pays ticket prices as if it was actually THE REAL FOREIGNER BAND. I had seen the original Foreigner, I have seen them post Lou Gramm, Which I wasn’t happy about but accepted Kelly Hansen. And now have seen “Foreigner Tribute Band”
When are you coming to the UK
LOL there is not a single guy left from the original band.
When do the ticket go on sale
When my husband and I were going together, he was getting cold feet about getting married, since he already had 4 kids and I had 5. Kept breaking up with me. At that time Foreigner came out w/their album in 1977. Had the song, ‘Cold as Ice’. I bought it, played it on my little player, wrote down the words and sent them on a card to him! In April of 1978 we were married. After that, we always called it, ‘Our Song’!! We were married for 41+ yrs.!! He just passed away this past June 2nd, on Lou Gehrig Day! Had ALS for 22 yrs. Still my favorite song!!
Love you guys!!
They stopped being Foreigner the day Lou Gramm left the first time, Kelly Hanson is an OK copy of Lou and a decent singer, but not one original member is in the band nor will any originals be on the upcoming tour. Probably why they aren’t playing any big halls or arenas and only small venues, outdoor festivals and other forgotten/loser band joints.
Barbara, I’m so sorry for your loss!
it has to be rough right now, but remember, there will be better days and good times again once the pain lessens!
Recently lost my mom who just hit 86 (COPD/Dementia/Alzheimer’s), we were never close, till her last 8 or 9 years or so, than she got nicer and we finally became much, much closer.
She was a very difficult and angry person her entire life and very hard to deal with, so I didn’t even speak with her for decades, till she had to move in with my family who all pitched in to care for her while we are still dealing with the loss of my youngest son who was only 18 years old (Liver/Brain cancer) when he passed on five years ago,
I’m just beginning to be able to talk about him without falling apart!
He was the good one, helpful, respectful, caring and was looking forwards to college and marrying his long time GF, who still drops by almost daily. I think she just likes the food and music here? lol
Been with my wife 36+ years now, I wouldn’t know how to continue on if she passes away, we met back when my band needed a new drummer and she was a player, we met, dated, met other people and dated them, but ended up back with one another after a year and have been as one ever since.
She has been my rock thru a lot of both good and bad and real bad and her health’s been real bad the past 12 years, so it could happen any day and my own health is on a rapid decline.
Recent MS diagnosis on top of COPD for me, severe Crohne’s and heart disease for my Mrs.
She actually suffered a heart attack, back on Thanksgiving night 2009 and would have died, had I not known CPR and gotten her to the E.R. as fast as I did.
They kept her in the hospital for over 6 weeks after operating and sent her home on a slew of meds!
She was doing great for a few years after she got out of the hospital, that was, up until the Chrone’s got much worse.
It’s been a big ol’ “lets see which one of us idiots kicks the bucket first” competition. lol
I know, it’s morbid to laugh, but what else can you do?
No sense getting bitter, we’ve had it good otherwise, lived thru a few near death experiences, have two successful grown sons left, who are doing great, a roof over our heads, food on the table, light are still on and METAL gets us thru it all!
Rock on-Live on-Enjoy Life, It’s way too short to waste!
